Kari Anne Robert

Kari Anne Robert started the Green MBA Program in September of 2006 after earning her BA in Culture, Ecology and Sustainable Communities, with an emphasis on Ecological Food Systems. Kari Anne has over a decade of experience in restaurant and kitchen management, and is passionate about renewing our relationship with local, native foods in the face of climate change and resource depletion. While focusing on her MBA in Sustainable Enterprise, she worked on creating The Abundance Project; a natural cooking and nutrition education program for the City of Riverside Parks and Recreation Department.  She earned a certificate in grant writing, and completed a business plan for a locally sourced, seasonally based, sustainably designed restaurant; The Herban Garden. Kari Anne is currently working with the Green MBA program as the Project Manager, which has been an inspiring, challenging and fulfilling experience that she is honored to be a part of. When Kari Anne is not putting her energy into her position as Project Manager for the Green MBA, she continues to cultivate new recipes and slowly manifest The Herban Garden vision.

What people are saying about the GreenMBA

"Learning how to "breakdown" a project has been a fabulous tool for me in business.  I am a Facilities/Project Manager by training and have to think "systemically" in my daily work day, however, getting fully engaged in a "project" for class and working on a "team" project takes you deeper into the process.  How to use systemics and critical thinking in determining whether a project is ready "for the street" or whether it needs to be drilled deeper to get the core of what will make it successful.  It's a study in chaos and systems planning.  I find myself thinking about who will be my next "test case" - or victim!!!"
